The family of the man who police say started a deadly shootout at the El Rey grocery store is planning to sue. Luis Lorenzo’s family yesterday said they plan to file lawsuits against El Rey and Marshal Public Safety, which is the company that hired the two security guards involved in the shooting. Read MoreMilwaukee is updating its convention plan, this time for the Republicans. An RNC planning committee on Friday picked Milwaukee to host the 2024 Republican National Convention. Milwaukee beat-out Nashville, which saw some opposition from local Democratic leaders. Milwaukee will largely use the plan first put together for the Democratic National Convention in 2020. The convention didn’t happen because of the coronavirus. The RNC is planned for the summer of 2024.

A judge on Friday ordered Assembly Speaker Robin Vos to hand over more documents to the liberal group American Oversight.
