There will be more options for kids in Eau Claire looking to enjoy some time outside this summer. The city is close to finishing work on new playgrounds at Newell Park and McDonough Park. The new playground and skate park over at Boyd Park should be ready by the end of the summer. Work there is not as far along as at the other parks.

The Governor’s press release yesterday says the list now stands at a total of four-hundred-98 pardons spanning Ever’s three years in office so far. Read MoreFour people died during a house fire in western Wisconsin. The fire broke out at a home on Backtrail Road in Little Falls around nine o’clock last night. The fire department says the fire was put out quickly once firefighters arrived but four people had become trapped inside and couldn’t escape. A father and his child did make it out of the house safely. The cause of the fire is unknown.
