POLITICAL MAP LEADS TO STATIC IN MADISON

One of Wisconsin’s election reformers wants more of a concrete promise from Republicans in Madison about the state’s next political map.

The Fair Elections Project yesterday said the line from Republican leaders at the statehouse that ‘they are not talking about’ forcing their map through is not the same as a promise not to do it.  The Fair Elections Project says lawmakers and the governor agreed on a map back in 1971, and should be able to do it again in 2021.
