A Republican senator is firing back at President Donald Trump.
Ron Johnson disputed the President’s conclusion Friday that farmers are over the hump and doing well during the trade war, saying in fact they’re suffering. Wisconsin dairy farmers have been struggling since a drop-in milk prices five years ago due to over-production and exporting issues. Nearly 700 dairy farms closed in 2018 statewide.
