A new report says there are a lot fewer DNA kits waiting on shelves at the state crime lab.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice says the number of DNA kits waiting more than 90 days to be tested went from 766 in January to 410 in April. Back in 2015, there were six-thousand untested kits. Former Attorney General Brad Schimel eliminated that backlog by last year.
