Police officers across southeast Wisconsin are trying to come to grips with the deaths of two off-duty officers in one day.
Milwaukee Police Officer Kou Her died in a crash early yesterday morning as he was headed home from his shift.
Racine Police Officer John Hetland died while trying to stop an armed robbery at a local bar. Police say the two deaths, so close together are unsettling for everyone who wears a badge. Her is the third Milwaukee police officer to die in the line of duty within the past year.
