CAMPUS LOOKS CLOSER AT PRE-COLLEGE PROGRAM SAFETY

UW-Madison’s pre-college programs are being revamped to address the issue of sexual assault.

The move comes after an alleged sexual assault in 2017 and a lawsuit on how the school handled it.  UW-Madison leadership recommended that the school’s Business Emerging Leaders program be suspended unless changes were made.  So, some of the changes include a centralized office and new policies that were placed under effect as of May 1st.  The UW-Madison’s Office of Precollege and Youth Program Compliance is directed by Prenicia Clifton.  Clifton says many people are looking at UW’s new compliance program and they’re wanting to duplicate it to promote safety on their campuses as well.
