LIFE IN PRISON

The man who pleaded guilty to kidnapping Jayme Closs and killing her parents in Wisconsin will spend the rest of his life in prison.

The judge sentenced Jake Patterson to two sentences of life in prison without parole for the murders of James and Denise Closs. Patterson also received a 40-year-sentence for the kidnapping of Jayme.

During the sentencing hearing, Patterson told the judge he would do “absolutely anything to take back” what he did.  Patterson admitted to the kidnapping of 13-year-old Jayme and murdering her parents in October.  He held Jayme hostage for close to three months before she escaped.
