A teenage defendant is pleading guilty to charges in Chippewa County.
In an October 2025 incident, 17-year-old Landen Sarauer says he was trying to break into a Lafayette Express Mart during overnight hours in order to steal vapes that he was planning to sell at school. Sarauer failed to gain entry into the store. Video shows him fleeing the scene after breaking the glass on the store’s entry door. Sarauer has pleaded guilty to a charge of criminal damage to property and been sentenced to two days in jail.
