The Chippewa County Highway Department would like to remind motorists to please pay attention and use caution when driving during winter weather events.
Chris Elstran , Chippewa County Highway Commissioner and Chippewa County Sheriff, Travis C. Hakes, reported that the county has had 2 plow trucks struck in the last 10 days. Luckily there were only minor injuries to the striking drivers and no injuries to the plow operators but there was significant damage to the vehicles that struck the plow truck and one of the plow trucks was out of service for a short period.
As we get back out on Winter roads in Wisconsin remember to slow down, don’t crowd the cloud, and help keep the travels safe this holiday season and beyond.
