I-94 Crash Leads to OWI

Tejuan Andre Heavens, 41 years of age, from St. Paul, MN has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 1st offense, with three children in the vehicle under the age of 16. 

A Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper responded to a two-vehicle property damage crash on Interstate 94 near the eastbound rest area. The Trooper observed signs of possible impairment from the driver of the striking vehicle. A roadside investigation was conducted including standard field sobriety tests. The driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated – drugged driving with minor passengers in the vehicle. He was transported to a local hospital for a legal blood draw and then to the Dunn County Jail. The minor passengers were turned over to a responsible party. The driver was charged with OWI first offense with minor passengers, child restraint violation, unsafe lane deviation, and possession of THC and paraphernalia.
