211 To Continue in Western WI

211 Wisconsin announces that residents across western Wisconsin, including the Coulee region and Eau Claire area, will continue to receive 211 services. Great Rivers 211, hosted by Gundersen by Emplify Health, notified 211 Wisconsin that it will not renew its contract as a call center after December 31, 2025. The 211 Wisconsin network will absorb calls originating from the region until a permanent solution is determined.

211 Wisconsin is a free and confidential service that connects individuals with essential resources in their communities including housing, food, elder care, crisis intervention, and much more. It plays a vital role in Wisconsin’s emergency management infrastructure, providing real-time information and collecting damage reports during disasters. 211 Wisconsin’s regionally based teams are trained to handle calls throughout the state and can provide statewide coverage to Wisconsinites. These services will continue.

“The 211 Wisconsin network is a strong and permanent part of our statewide information and referral infrastructure” said Charlene Mouille, CEO of 211 Wisconsin and United Way of Wisconsin. “All Wisconsin residents will continue to receive the support they need from 211 throughout this transition.”

211 Wisconsin is working with the remaining regional contact centers to maintain coverage for the Great Rivers region. Local United Ways in the impacted areas are currently organizing around a long-term solution. The 211 Wisconsin board is committed to a community-based solution that maintains statewide 211 coverage.
