Wisconsin’s Department of Workforce Development says the state’s unemployment rate sits lower than the national average. 

The unemployment rate in Wisconsin for the month of August is three-point-one percent.  The agency says Wisconsin added 86-hundred non-farm jobs, but they also reported losses in the manufacturing and construction sectors.  The national unemployment rate is at four-point-three percent according to the new data.
