Starting today, Xcel Energy has begun concrete repairs on the upstream face of the middle embankment at the Wissota Hydro Plant. The work addresses areas showing signs of deterioration caused by wave action and the passage of time. The project is expected to be completed within two weeks.

To support the repair efforts, the reservoir level will be maintained in the lower half of its normal operating range. While the typical operating range is between 897.0 and 898.0 feet, the reservoir will be held closer to 897.25 feet or slightly lower. This temporary adjustment may result in water levels appearing 2–3 inches lower than last week.
The impact to the public and surrounding environment is expected to be minimal.
