A man is severely injured after a semi-truck jackknifed on Highway 93.
The incident took place yesterday afternoon. The Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a strong wind gust blew hay bale off a trailer, causing it to crash into a semi-truck. The semi then jackknifed causing it to block both lanes on Highway 93. The driver of the semi was flown by helicopter to a local hospital with serious injuries. A dog was also in the semi but un-harmed. Police did give a ticket to the truck that was hauling haybales for having an unsecured load.
