Rusk County has a new sheriff.
Phil Grassman is filling the position left open after current sheriff Jeffrey Wallace retires. Grassman has been working with RCSO since 2004, and has been Chief Deputy for a decade. He’ll serve as sheriff for the rest of the current term, which ends in 2027.
