Wisconsin now has a confirmed human case of the bird flu.
The state’s Department of Health Services on Friday said the CDC confirmed that a man who worked at a poultry farm in Barron County does have the bird flu. DHS says the man was suspected of having the flu, but the CDC confirmation makes it official. The man is the state’s first human case of the bird flu, and there’s no indication it has spread.
