Wisconsin’s presidential electors will vote for President-elect Trump today.
The state’s electoral vote was supposed to happen yesterday, but electors decided to vote today to stay consistent with the federal law on casting electoral votes. Today’s vote is expected to be quick and easy, which will be different from the vote four years ago which saw Republicans hold an alternate vote for President Trump. That vote is now at the center of a criminal case against two Wisconsin lawyers, though they say it was simply a just-in-case legal strategy.
