One person is dead after a two-car crash in Eau Claire.
The Police Department says a truck with a trailer carrying railroad ties was driving on North Clairemont Avenue near Folsom Street yesterday afternoon. The truck had a green light when an SUV traveling the opposite way turned left on a flashing yellow light. The two cars crashed. The 74-year-old man driving the SUV was taken to the hospital, where he later died. His passenger was injured and is hospitalized, while the driver of the truck is unharmed.
