STATE OF EMERGENCY DECLARED AS SUNSHINE FLOODS IN

For today and this weekend we could see some sun…Wisconsin is finally getting a break after tumultuous weather over the past few days.  The National Weather Service says sunshine is returning to the state this weekend, with a very small chance for rain and snow.  But, this sunshine comes with a price.  Experts say to expect a lot of flooding as snow and ice melts.  Today is predicted to be mostly sunny with a high of 38-degrees and tomorrow will be partly sunny with a high of 40-degrees.

Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers is declaring a State of Emergency as the state deals with widespread flooding.

In a tweet yesterday, Evers said he issued the declaration due to rapid snowmelt and rain which are impacting homes, businesses and cities across the state.  He noted that the declaration will allow additional personnel and resources to flow through to areas of need.
