Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) has been named a 2024-2025 Military Spouse Friendly® School by the Military Friendly® organization.
Institutions of higher learning earn this award by answering survey questions about policies and procedures used to ensure that spouses of military veterans are given every opportunity to succeed while pursuing degree or certificate programs.
CVTC offers many benefits by federal and state governments that the College’s military-connected students utilize, said Justin Boudreau, CVTC veteran advisor and SCO.
The Military Spouse Friendly® School designation establishes baseline expectations in key areas to earn the recognition.
“This honor underscores our commitment to providing top-notch education and support to our military community,” said CVTC President Sunem Beaton-Garcia. “At CVTC, we recognize the invaluable contributions and sacrifices of our service members, veterans and their families. We remain dedicated to offering resources, flexibility and opportunities they need to succeed in their academic and professional endeavors.”
The survey to be considered for the designation includes more than 100 questions in 10 categories including support on campus, graduation rates, employment rates and more.
