Get ready to empty the change from your cup holders… The city of Eau Claire is seeking a partnership with Eau Claire County in implementing a wheel tax.
The City Council voted unanimously asking the County Board to work with the city as they are proposing a 30-dollar wheel tax to help cover the cost of county road repairs. The City Council believes that Eau Claire residents will be paying most of the tax money and should see some of the funds used to repair roads in the city.
