There is finally a name to go along with the human remains found in a Madison chimney back in 1989.
Madison Police yesterday said they used DNA to identify Ronnie Kirk as the man whose bones were found in the chimney at the old Good ‘n Loud music store on University Avenue. No one is saying how his remains got into the chimney, investigators say he could never have squeezed into the chimney while alive. There’s also no word when he died, or how he died. Madison’s police chief says he hopes that now that Kirk has been identified, family or friends can help fill-in the rest of the story.
