The Village of Lake Hallie has selected its next police chief.
Wisconsin State Senator Jesse James is getting the gig. The Republican lawmaker currently represents the state’s 23rd Senate district including all of Barron, Clark, Price, Rusk, and Taylor counties and most of Chippewa County — but recently announced his plans to retire from the office. James has represented the district since January of 2023.
