The old Girl Scout camp in Chippewa County is back open.

The camp’s new owners cut the ribbon on Camp Nawakwa yesterday. The Girl Scouts owned the camp for years, but sold it off last year because of the costs. A group of former Girl Scouts in the Chippewa Valley came together to buy the camp, fix-it-up, and reopen it. The group says the idea is to keep the camp open for Girl Scouts, and other youth groups going forward. CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE.
