Elderly and disabled residents in La Crosse are getting help with their yard work, thanks to an annual tradition.
The 28th annual “Neighbors Day” took place on Saturday as volunteers, including La Crosse Mayor Mitch Reynolds, helped neighbors get their yards ready for spring. Organizers said around 400 volunteers worked on “about 200 projects in the community.” The event first began in 1996.
