WI Plants Goals for Trees

News | April 22, 2024 | 0 | by Morgan McCarthy
WI Plants Goals for Trees

Wisconsin is increasing its tree planting goal to 100-million trees by 2030.

Governor Tony Evers signed the executive order today, Earth Day. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources says more than 30-million trees have been planted in Wisconsin since the state started its Trillion Trees Pledge three years ago. Those seedlings have been planted in both rural areas and urban areas, helping cities with funding through grant programming. A tree planting map can be found on the Wisconsin DNR’s website.
