It’s almost official, the effort to recall Robin Vos has failed.
The Wisconsin Elections Commission says the group in Racine County who wanted to oust the state’s assembly speaker did not get enough signatures to force a recall. The Elections Commission is expected to vote to make that call official later today. Vos called the recall organizations whack-jobs and morons, and said it was always a personal vendetta against him. Prosecutors in Racine County continue to look into whether the recall organizers committed fraud in how they collected some of those recall signatures.
