A woman from Mineral Point will be sentenced today for the death of a child left in her care.
JoAnna Ford is accused of neglecting four-month-old Wyatt Hamlin, leading to his death. The child’s mother testified during the conviction hearing this morning that she got a video on Snapchat from Ford of her son hours before he was airlifted to Madison. She says she immediately knew something was wrong with her son, and Ford was acting with no urgency. Ford pleaded guilty to six charges, and a homicide charge was dropped.
