The Wisconsin Ethics Commission will be referring felony charges against Save America political action committee and a state representative to other counties after three cited conflicts of interest.
The county prosecutors of Chippewa, Florence and Langlade will not prosecute claims that an alleged scheme took place between Donald Trump’s Save America political action committee, GOP Rep. Janel Brandtjen, county Republican party officials and the campaign committee of Adam Steen. The 2022 election was in hopes of replacing Assembly Speaker Robin Vos.
The ethics committee believes that Trump and Brandtjen convinced Steen while pressuring him to illegally decertify the 2020 election.
