A husband and wife must pay almost a quarter of a million dollars in restitution in a LaFayette County animal-cruelty case.
Prosecutors say, in late June, Kyle and Stephanie Lincicum were jailed after investigators found roughly 200 dead goats at the couple’s farm, all of which had died from thirst and starvation. In December, Kyle Lincicum pleaded guilty to 23 charges related to the animals’ deaths – this comes after a roughly equal number of charges were dropped. He was subsequently hit with an almost 16-year jail sentence and 240 grand in restitution. Stephanie Lincicum was sentenced to 18 months in county jail, as well as five years’ probation.
