FDA Recalls Many Products, Deaths Linked to Contaminated Dairy

The FDA has recalled nearly 60 products containing contaminated dairy.

A national outbreak of listeria has been linked to cheese, yogurt, and sour cream made by Rizo-Lopez Foods and sold under over a dozen brand names. The recall has also been extended to salad kits, taco kits, and other products sold nationwide, including Walmart, Costco, Whole Foods, and Trader Joe’s. Those products either contain cheese made by Rizo-Lopez Foods or were processed on the same line. The outbreak is linked to two deaths and 23 hospitalizations.
