Whole milk could soon be headed back to school lunchrooms.
House lawmakers on Wednesday overwhelmingly voted for the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act, which would allow the National School Lunch Program to serve whole milk. Whole milk was phased out more than a decade ago as part of a push to combat childhood obesity, leaving only low-fat options. The measure now heads to the Senate.
