Stolen Beer Leads to 7th OWI

A Madison man is facing his seventh O-W-I, accused of driving drunk after police say stole beer from a convenience store.

Madison Police say the store clerk called 9-1-1 reporting a man, who appeared intoxicated, stole beer and drove off.  Officers pulled Michael Girder over later that night and say there was open alcohol in his truck… which was stolen. Girder is facing four charges, including parole violation.
