A handful of Wisconsin lawmakers want to see if magic mushrooms can help with PTSD, and maybe if they should be made legal.
Four lawmakers, two Republicans and two Democrats, yesterday asked the legislature for support in their medical psilocybin pilot program. The idea is to study whether magic mushrooms can help with PTSD and other mental health issues. The lawmakers say there’s a good chance that the drugs can help a lot of people. Colorado and Oregon, as well as a handful of cities, have either legalized or decriminalized magic mushrooms for personal use, not just medical use.
