A Black River Falls woman who stabbed her boyfriend to death two years ago is headed to prison for 10 years.
A judge yesterday sentenced Kelly Schmidt to a decade in prison, followed by a decade of parole. She pleaded no contest to reckless homicide charges earlier this year. Jackson County deputies say she stabbed her boyfriend in the arm with a filet knife, and he died hours later.
