Mega Jackpot! Tuesday was a big day for the Sunshine State. The largest jackpot in Mega Millions history, worth an estimated $1.58 billion, was purchased in Florida, ending a run of 32 drawings.
Even though the jackpot was not hit in the Badger State, the Wisconsin Lottery urges players to check their tickets for one of the nine ways to win a Mega Millions prize. Before Tuesday’s drawing, across the country, 62 second tier winning tickets of at least $1 million and 967 third tier winning tickets of at least $10,000 were purchased since April 21.
In Wisconsin, there were 900,144 winning Mega Millions tickets totaling $5,627,722 in prizes during this jackpot run. Since July 21 alone, one $1 million, one $20,000 (includes Megaplier) and 11 $10,000 Mega Millions winning tickets were sold throughout the state.
