Republicans at the Wisconsin Capitol are ready to share their plan to send more money to local governments across the state.
Assembly Republicans have a news conference scheduled for 9:30 this morning to detail their proposal. At least part of the idea will be to create a 100 million-dollar ‘innovation fund,’ aimed at getting local governments to share things like police and fire departments. It’s not clear how Wisconsin’s Democratic lawmakers feel about the plan. Governor Evers has said he wants to find more money for local governments, in fact he says it’s one of his top priorities.
