It’s the latest sign that the Mississippi River is continuing to rise.
City leaders in La Crosse yesterday closed three parks because of the high water. Lueth Park, Veterans Freedom Park, and the Houska Dog Park will all remain closed til further notice. The Mississippi River at La Crosse jumped over 15-and-a-half feet yesterday, and is expected to rise til it tops 16 feet on Thursday.
