Authorities in Waukesha County are remembering a retired deputy who died while hiking the Grand Canyon last week.
The sheriff’s office took to Facebook yesterday to confirm the death of 56-year-old Scott McDonnell. The National Parks Service says he was found dead in the Grand Canyon last Friday. He was apparently trying to hike the Colorado River. The sheriff’s office says McDonnell ‘served our county honorably for 29 years’ and ‘will be missed.’
