A Wisconsin man’s second trial for killing his wife has ended the same as his first, with a guilty verdict.
It took a jury six hours to convict Mark Jensen yesterday of the 1998 crime. Investigators say he poisoned his wife with antifreeze, then smothered her in their Pleasant Prairie home. Jensen claims she took her own life. The Wisconsin Supreme Court ordered a new trial after dismissing some evidence from the first case. Jensen will be sentenced to life in prison, but a judge will decide if he’s eligible for parole.
