SEX OFFENDER TO BE RELEASED IN EAU CLAIRE

The Eau Claire Police Department has been notified that Sex Offender 36 year old Gerald J. Glasel will be released from prison on January 22, 2019. Glasel will be under supervision by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections (DOC). Glasel’s previous convictions include:


1st Degree Sexual Assault of a Child (May 7, 1996)
4th Degree Sexual Assault (September 24, 2001)
3rd Degree Sexual Assault (November 14, 2003)


Glasel has been released from prison several times on additional other convictions and rules violations after being released from his original conviction in 2005. He will be residing at a DOC monitored residence in the 100 block of Randall Street in the City of Eau Claire.

The primary focus of Glasel’s DOC release plan is to insure public safety. Glasel’s conditions of release include:
Sex offender registrant.
Comply with all sex offender registrant rules.
Discretionary GPS monitoring.
No contact with juveniles.
No use of alcohol or entering taverns.
Only allowed to leave the residence between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 12 noon.
