FARMERS FEELING THE HIT

The ongoing partial government shutdown is starting to impact farmers in northwest Wisconsin. 

You may have seen the front page of the Leader-Telegram reporting that farmers are struggling because they don’t have access to government services such as corn loans and some food inspection places.  One farmer from Goetz says nearly no aspect of agriculture is profitable right now.  There’s also a delay in the tariff payments farmers are supposed to be receiving because of the ongoing trade disputes with China.
