We’re getting a better picture of the violent past of downtown Madison’s latest accused shooter.
Police records show 40-year-old Lamar Jefferson was arrested a week before last week’s deadly shooting after he threatened to kill someone. The police report from his arrest says Jefferson told officers someone hit him, and said he was going to kill that person. Jefferson was eventually arrested for disorderly conduct. He shot and wounded a man on State Street Tuesday afternoon. Jefferson remains on the loose.
