A Fort Atkinson woman will spend the rest of her life in prison for killing her grandmother, then setting her house on fire.
A judge yesterday sentenced Elizabeth Durkee to life with the possibility of parole. Durkee admitted that she killed her grandmother last year to keep her from returning to a nursing home. She set the house on fire to cover-up the crime. Durkee, who is 37-years-old, will be allowed to apply for parole after 22-years in prison.
