Absentee Ballots In Action

Election Day is about two weeks away, but over 140 thousand people in the state have already cast their ballot.

The Wisconsin Elections Commission yesterday said it’s mailed about 315 thousand absentee ballots to voters across the state, and over 140 thousand of them have come back. In-person absentee voting opened on Tuesday as well. But two candidate drop-outs this week, Democrats Tom Nelson and Alex Lasry, mean some voters may have voted for candidates who are no longer in the race. The Elections Commission says voters can ask their local clerks to cancel their ballots, and then vote again. Primary Election Day is August 9th.
