Eau Claire’s tax hike question this fall asks for just under one-and-a-half million-dollars a year.
The city council finalized this November’s referendum last night. The hope is to use the money to hire new police officers, firefighters, and 911 dispatchers. Council member Roderick Jones says he knows that people are facing tight budgets right now, but he said it’s important to be able to hire new cops and firefighters.
