The number of counties with a high level of COVID-19 is skyrocketing.
The Department of Health Services now lists 14 counties that are experiencing high levels of the virus. Last week it reported just one county with high levels. The CDC basis levels on the number of cases and hospitalization rates. Southern counties now in the high level include Rock County, Milwaukee County, La Crosse County and Waukesha County. There are ten counties in the high range in the north, including Ashland County, Forest County, Iron County and Washburn County.
