A hiker from Wausau is found dead in White Sands National Park.
The incident reported yesterday by park officials is under investigation by New Mexico State Police. The statement says a parked vehicle in the White Sands lot was first spotted the morning of July 5th. It had Wisconsin plates and was found to be registered to 27-year old Bradley Utegaard.
After an extensive search, Utegaard’s body was found the following day two miles northeast of the Alkaline Flats Trail. Foul play is not suspected.
