There will be no trial for the man accused in a deadly buggy crash in Taylor County.
Skyler Opelt yesterday pleaded no contest to homicide and other charges in the case. Police say he crashed into the back of the buggy last November, killing a mom and injuring nine of her children.
Oplet told police he snorted drugs right after the crash so he would not be caught with them. He’ll be sentenced in August.
